Is it true that Titanic Sinking Already On foresee?
In the novel there are a number of similarities between the ship named Titan to the Titanic ... among other similar vessel specification. Among others:
1. The number of propeller was 3 on Titan, as well as the Titanic
2. The length of the ship is 800 feet Titan, while the Titanic's 882 foot
3. The number of passengers as many as 2500 on Titan, Titanic passenger 2224
4. Part ships damaged when an accident is equally the right front
5. When the catastrophe, both occurred in April. Precisely, the Titanic sank on April 14, 1912.
In fact, the name of the ship was almost similar, the ship in Robertson's work of fiction is the Titan.
From a number of these similarities, yet there are also differences. Titan in the novel drowned while returning from New York, after visiting 3 times.Meanwhile, the Titanic sank on its maiden voyage to New York.
Morgan Robertson's novel was published in 1898, while the Titanic sank in 1912. When Robertson wrote his novel, there is no technology that can make the ship amounted to Titan, so this is really the result of imagination.Robertson also describes the human conceit that call the ship can not sink, until the Titan is only providing 24 lifeboats to 2500 passengers.
The same thing happened on the Titanic. Once convinced Titanic could not sink, until the owner of the ship only provide 20 lifeboats to 2224 passengers, or only half the required number of lifeboats.
Was Morgan Robertson's novel is a prophecy? Or just coincidence? You're the judge.
Are there any of Titanic passengers who have previously read the novel, and then think that the novel is a sign .... and cancel the trip at the last minute? Maybe there is, maybe not.
